The South Carolina Lowcountry that surrounds the Charleston area is one of the most photogenic places you can imagine. Just to be clear, I know many places that are beautiful, but not photogenic. I also know places that are photogenic, but not so beautiful. The Lowcountry is one of those places that is both! And I love it. I’ve been down here for three days now scouting with John Barclay getting ready for the upcoming workshop. We’ve had a great time. I’ve re-acquainted myself with some old places and learned some new ones. The workshop starts on Monday. I’m really excited!
I took this image during one of our scouting trips to a plantation near Charleston. A beautiful one. Enjoy!
Beautiful!

Beautiful, but also a little spooky. Anything could come out from behind any one of those trees at any time. Very interesting, maybe parrots.

True! You never know when a alligator could be lurking in the azaleas!
