A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of judging the open salon for digital images at the Camera Club of Oak Ridge. It was an awesome experience! There were two other judges, and we had a great time. The images were wonderful and the organization of the judging process was superb! This was my second time judging for this club and I have to say that this group really has their act together when it comes to their annual salon. This year’s edition included a youth division, so we also had a chance to look at photography through the eyes of the next generation.
This Friday night, I’m excited to give a gallery talk at the opening of the exhibit. I’m very much looking forward to that! I’ll talk for 10 to 15 minutes about the exhibit and anything that strikes my photographic fancy. If you’re in the area, I would love to see you. Please stop by and join me. The exhibit opens at 7:00 pm at the New Hope Center in Oak Ridge. The address is 602 Scarboro Road in Oak Ridge. I’ll begin my talk at about 7:30. I’m still formulating what I’ll talk about, but I’m sure it will be interesting. 😉 For more information, check out the club’s website at http://www.oakridgecameraclub.org. Wish me luck and hope to see you there!
In the meantime, here is a recent image from the Foothills Parkway. I can never get enough of this place! The light there is always different: no two shoots at Foothills are the same. As I mentioned earlier, I have experienced some great light there lately. This image is just another example. Enjoy!
