What did you do with your final day of 2021?
Mine started early on the Foothills Parkway to photograph the sunrise. I only had a few hours of sleep under my belt, and I must admit that getting out of bed after 3 hours of sleep felt like I was getting a root canal. The alarm tone on my phone left me numb and disoriented. It took several minutes to remember why the stupid phone was being so obnoxious. I would have rolled over and gone back to sleep had it not been for a commitment to meet my buddy Dan for the sunrise. I later learned that he went through the same thought process when his alarm startled him from his slumber. It turns out that we needed each other in order to accomplish anything this morning. Left to our devices, we would have slept in and missed a lovely Foothills sunrise. Funny how we accomplish more when we work together. I hope we all accomplish more in 2022. Happy new year!
Happy New Year Steve. My last day of ‘21, hopefully, involves some good photography of sandhills cranes. I’ll let you know if it works out!
Blessings to you in the New Year,
